I couldn't update with verizon's update, so I had to restore my phone back to stock. I did that, everything worked OK.

Rooted, installed clockword, installed CWMRecovery (http://forum.androidcentral.com/fas...lus-new-root-instructions-updated-1-15-a.html)

Odin updated really quick when I did it, but it did say success. Literally maybe 5 seconds?
I even did it two times:

Is this Kernal related and what should I do? It's kinda sucky without haptic feed back. It's enabled in settings.

Oh, and one other thing - I did install SuperClean something of that sort using clockwork. Can't remember the full name.. geeze! I'm getting old

Any suggestions?

When you say you returned to stock, is that DI01 or DL09? Whichever it was, did you flash ROM, kernel and modem that all matched?

Since you've installed the new CWM for DJ05/DL09 and restored most likely to DI01 your ROM and kernel do not match. The kernel is responsible for telling the software what to do with the hardware, hence why you're vibration is not working. All that you need to do is flash a DI01 kernel, or try to get DL09 again (recommended). Try following the [How to] Flash Full package DL09 and Stock DI01 via Odin post instead of getting the update OTA.

It says I'm using DJ05 think that's the reason?

The original ROM before the verizon update jan 14th, I assume DI01. I did the OTA update, then formatted, rerooted, and so on. It was giving me troubles so that's why I did it like that.

Killah is right about it being tge kernel ill send you links to fix it when I get home

Thank you! I actually just sent you a PM about hosting files for you guys on my dedicated server.

I'd just recommend again to follow the link in my first post to flash DL09 via Odin. If you're running DJ05 now, you would have applied that the same way since it was never released by VZ. Once you root you might as well throw the idea of getting updates OTA out of the window. It's just much less of a hassle to do it manually with Odin.

Thanks! It works =)! I did it with Clockwork MOD. Perfect!

Any other suggestions or cool apps I should install? I've got a big list to reinstall =). Thanks Again for all the help.

glad it works for haptic, but please play some music and make sure there is no popping ....

before going crazy i would suggest checking out some roms, my personal favorite is Superdark rom

Will do, looks pretty good. I played pandora for 2 hours today while working out... and yes it still works =) Installing superdark now...

As far as the basics for a browser and email app I highly recommend Dolphin Browser HD and K9 Mail. Also Titanium Backup for future mishaps and upgrades so you can easily restore your apps and other settings.

I like Skyfire myself, but I'll look into K9 Mail - although the default gmail works well. I have Titanium backup, I just didn't use it because I wanted to start fresh =)

OK, for superdark, I like it and all the animations and all - is there any kind of themes for it? It's somewhat too dark hehe

Lol hence superdark... lol try a lighter wallpaper. the darkness will save you battery anyway.....i havnt tried any themes, isnt it so much faster

Yes, I went back to what I had (the superclean?) and after some tweaks I can't get over how fast it is. It's like I installed a quad core CPU in this thing, it never lags and never slows down.

.. but Ive got another issue. When I plug it into a PC (or car dock base), I noticed it says "fully charged" but the battery is at 69%, and yet it charges fine on my car charger. IS this a kernel issue? Or maybe my cheap chinese cables I ordered? It worked the other day, and I rebooted the phone several times so far.

The kernel is a possibility. Try temporarily installing a different one to test it. Also try connecting to your PC with the USB cable that came with the phone/try different USB ports in your computer.

I ordered two of those cables, and it seems to work fine in the car dock and home dock. I didn't try the house charger or plugging it into my PC at home, lack of time prevented me :(

It seems to do it on this work computer, maybe the USB isn't providing good power? My coworker has a captivate and his charges perfectly fine with the USB cable.. ALso, I turned the phone *off* and it did the same thing - charged for 30 seconds then said 100%.

Okay, I updated the kernel to the SuperFast overclock and it worked.

Update: OKay it's been charging for like 3 hours and it's still at 74%, when I first posted it was at 68%...
