No individual sound option on G-Mail Manage Labels ?

Hi I have a Samsung Note8 running all the latest software updates (13/02/2019) from Samsung.
Can some tell me were the option to attach individual sound to manage labels
in G-mail has gone to ?
It is no longer visible on the screen to pick from.
I have re-visited my old samsung phone and gone through the steps
of attaching a specifice sound notification to a specific email person/label.
I have no problem with that!!
I am pulling my hair out,
I have spent days looking at this.
So why does it not work on the Note8 ???

I have just read Google Gmail has removed this option.
How Rubbish is that if it's true ! ????
Can anyone confirm this ???

Unless I'm mistaken, that option left with Oreo long ago.

I believe so also. I used to have different Notification sounds for Primary / Updates / Forums in my G Mail app. Ever since Oreo I can only find a way to have one G-Mail notification sound, not one for each category within the app. I'm not a big fan of their "redesigned" notification system with Oreo.

Welcome to Android Central! I also remember that as an option, but I believe it went away, either with Nougat or Oreo. My old Nexus 7 running Marshmallow still has that option, but my Lenovo Tab 4 8 running Oreo does not.
