Hello All,

I had a Nokia E72 prior to my new Sexus 4 :-* - i also need to say that it had INCREDIBLE battery life in comparison.

Anyways, i use a Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth Handsfree with it which keep my hands, free to do more.

Most of that freedom was utilised for looking-up stuff on the phone/internet whilst on call, the E72 was flawless in that department however, the Nexus has been a letdown so far.
When on call, the internet (on wifi) is unusable

Why would it do that?
Please tell me there's something i'm missing or there's some setting to resolve this.

Many Thanks for you help in advance - Vishal

internet works for me when on call. did you check to see if your carrier support it?
some carriers dont support it

On AT&T, voice and Internet at same time I've tested and it works.... Very poorly... To the point where you have to say it doesn't work lol. No fix.

I don't know why exactly it doesn't... Could be because AT&T doesn't officially support the nexus 4 so it's not configured perfectly to their network. Because voice and data does work simultaneously on the iPhone 4S which supports Hspa.

I don't know if tmobile has same issue.

From what I know, some carriers don't support both at the same time. Could you please tell us what carrier you are using.

Now he does say he's trying to use the internet over wifi, not mobile data. Thus I don't think it has anything to do with the carrier, does it?

I'm not sure. I don't remember it working on my GS3, But I'm almost always around a computer. You have a good point there. I might be mistaken

oh yeah i just reread his post. voice and wifi should be just fine... i just tested it a second ago calling my daughters cell and web browsing on wifi while talking and no hiccups.

if it is a case of voice and wifi... if i had to guess, could be a conflict with an app or even his bluetooth device running while trying to do both at same time. i posted elsewhere where i had an issue with gps not working properly where it couldnt get signal when trying to run navigation and i had to uninstall the last couple of apps and had no problems afterwards.

Now he does say he's trying to use the internet over wifi, not mobile data. Thus I don't think it has anything to do with the carrier, does it?

Yeah wifi and bluetooth can certainly conflict so maybe that's what's happening. He should try without bluetooth and see what happens.

Hello Guys,

So i just called a friend sans Bluetooth, put him on speaker & tried browsing - Works Fine.

And so the problem lies with the Bluetooth, what/how does this conflict? I dont get it, how to resolve this?

It beats the point, i mean - the handsfree is for u to be able to do more with the device & so when i upgraded to a smarter device - The N4 the least i expected is continuity of expectations?

Thank You for the help so far :-)

4.2 has a known bug where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth don't play well together. All you can do is hope out gets resolved in 4.3 / 5.0.

You could also try different bluetooth devices as well as try different wifi channels on your router. I was able to substantially improve my issues by choosing channel 4 on my router. Not saying that will work for you but you can certainly try setting different channels and see if it helps.
