No ir blaster on S7?

When will Samsung realise that having features such as this makes their product more attractive to consumers?

I bought a headphone jack ir blaster for my S7 Edge and got it working with the Zaza remote app. It took many attempts trying different settings but got it working. No where as elegant and functional as my old Note 4, but it works with most of my TVs and projectors.

I wish they did have the ir blaster but they don't! I guess it is them telling us to be more productive and get up and Chang the channel yourself or find a way to stream!

I've had my family on the Galaxy Active phones since the S4. We recently upgraded my husband's phone to an S7 and discovered this is missing. We don't have Smart TVs, so we have to have one remote to turn the tv on/off, and change the input, another remote to turn the sound bar on/off and change the volume, and then our phones to control the Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast. We've been using IR blaster with apps to control the TV and sound bar so the only controls we needed were our phones. It really feels like Samsung is trying to drive sales of their Smart TVs by taking it away. :'(
