No Longer Doing Security Check

Ever since I bought the phone up until recently, every 72 hours, it would have me enter my password in order to unlock it just as a security check. I'm sure many people find this annoying, but I actually kind of appreciated the purpose that it served. All of the sudden, though, it's not asking me anymore. I don't think I changed any of the settings, so I find this kind of strange. Does anyone know why it might have stopped doing this and how to get it back? Thank you.

Sorry for the delay -- got kind of caught up with the holiday and everything. To answer your question, I have screen lock set to "pattern," which has always worked for me. However, since asking this question, I actually just DID get today that security check request! I have to wonder if just poking around the security settings a few days ago without seemingly doing anything somehow triggered it to ask again -- I don't know. So, anyway, for now, it seems to be okay, but only in a bit less than another 72 hours will I know for sure. Thank you.

Thanks for updating, pattern lock over pin or password might give it 72hr , but be careful with pattern lock as it has caused lot of problems for people as it locks them out the phone and needed factory reset. I'm not sure why but I've seen and dealt with people with pattern locks have this issue just to prepare you if not heard of this happening.
