No longer seeing Google photos in Gallery

I recently had to do a factory reset for a different issue and now I don't see my Google photos in the Gallery. When I originally set up the phone they appeared automatically. Any ideas?

Unless you save your photos to a cloud, such as Dropbox, etc you would have lost them during the reset since they're on internal storage.

Google photos that are not on your phone have never been available in the Moto Gallery app on the Turbo. They will, however, be seen in the "Photos" app, which is tied to your Google+ account.

Maybe it was a fluke, but yes Google photos were in the Gallery under Albums. I've never had to use the Photos app.

I also have Auto Backup enabled, but don't see an option for Auto Sync.

I can say with 100% confidence that the only photos that are shown by the Moto Gallery app are photos that are stored on the phone. If you saw them, they were on your phone somehow. It's a shame that the app doesn't give you the ability to see G+/Picasa photos and galleries.
