no message when connecting j1 2016 to usb pc

When connecting my j1 2016 to my pc (W10) with usb, the J1 does not show a message where I can choose how to connect to the usb.
The phone charges instantly, but does not make a connection to the pc.

Welcome to Android Central! After connecting via USB, swipe down the notification panel. Is there a USB notification there? If so, tap it and see if you can change it to MTP there.
