No microphone just for entering in phone numbers. Microphone for text message is there.

I can use the voice to text option for messaging. The microphone is there. When I go to enter the contact number, there is no microphone and I have to type it in. Cricket ZTE

I’ve never tried to do that so I don’t know whether it’s normal. What phone?

It's a Cricket ZTE. Was so amazed at how cheap they were. Now I know why.

I just tried it on my LG G3 and it did work. Maybe try a different keyboard? I'm using Gboard.
