When you say "odin recovery", exactly what do you mean. Odin and recovery are two different things. Recovery is on your phone, accessed by powering on with Volume UP, Home and the Power key. Odin is a PC program which can load a complete ROM from a computer file to your phone.

How are you trying to fix the problem? Are you using Odin or recovery, and what file are you trying to flash? Do you have a Sprint Galaxy S3?

Download mode is also known as Odin Mode on the phone since you use Odin with it. But there is some confusion because they did say Odin recovery?

Yes. Download and recovery are two different things, too. It's not clear what he has done or is trying to do.

Yes, i apologize...was just frustrated when i was typing this yesterday. I have an SPH-L710 ...Rooted. I was running Wicked Sensation. EVERYTHING was normal with my phone. I went to plug in the cord to an external speaker (many times before) seemed that right when i plugged into the phone, it shut down and TRIED to reboot. Now here is where I went kookoo yesterday so hang with me....I figured I would run a "reocovery" ROM- CWMod. Well, as long as I keep pushing in and out the power button, (4sec pressed, 1sec let got and so on) the phone will reboot, show the Samsung logo..(I have a Sprint stock Rom) and will keep going all the way until I quit pushing the power button. But really Meyerweb, Like I told my wife, I DID NOTHING TO IT THIS TIME! Thats where im at guys.....any suggestions?

meyerweb, my personal e-mail is jatay618@gmail.com if yo need me to answer quickly..and I REALLY appreciate your time.

I would try following the unroot procedure in this forum. As long as you can boot into download mode, this should get you back to a good working phone, and you can then decide if you want to root again. I totally FUBARed my S3 earlier this week trying to encrypt it. Like you, I couldn't get it to boot at all, it was just stuck in an endless loop of trying to boot. The unroot procedure got me working, removed the broken encryption, and then I was able to root again.

I'm afraid I have no idea what might have caused your problem though. Wicked is normally a very stable ROM.
