No more text preview after update

Hello, I just bought a HTC desire 601 the other day and the top speaker didn't work so I saw I needed a kit Kat update and did it, but after I no longer get text messages preview on the lock screen. I checked and I have everything checked that needs to be checked in both security and message settings. Any ideas?

Yes and I have them turned on in both security and messages.

This might not be the solution you wanted, but maybe an app in Play?

No, but thanks. I just wanna know why it's not working after update, o and I can't set a separate lock screen wallpaper anymore either....

Those things may have just been removed from the ROM.
