My G3 on AT&T does not show names with incoming calls unless they are already in contact list. Privacy Keeper is set to show all info. My Galaxy S4 and HTC One on AT&T, show names for all incoming calls. What am I missing with the G3?

hit your phone button, then the 3 line thingy on the right side, then call settings, scroll down to privacy keeper, hit show caller info.that might take care of it

I agree that on my other two phones, many incoming calls say "unknown", but many also state the name associated with the phone number. Unless a caller has specifically set their phone to not display their name it is supposed to do so. It works that way on my Galaxy S4 and HTC One. I just had a friend call my S4 who is not on my contact list. His name appeared along with the phone number. That's how caller ID is supposed to work.

On T-Mobile it's an add on called Name ID.

I had a free trial when I got my G3. Cancelled. Not something I'd want to pay for.

I know how caller ID is supposed to work. But I've never had it work that way on a cell phone. I think it may be a carrier specific issue.

My z3v gave me names that weren't in my phone. And I didn't pay for the Verizon caller id service
