There isn't a notification led on the charge? I thought that was standard on all android phones :'(

Not standard on all Androids, no. The LED on my Thunderbolt is useless anyway. You won't be missing much! I can barely see it, can't customize it, it is dim and behind the speaker mesh. Coming from a Blackberry, I was very disappointed.

Now I don't care about it. I'm glad to be over the blinking light addiction! It was kind of annoying and demanding.

+1, the LED on the TB is useless behind that cheesegrater. Plus, it shuts off after 5 minutes anyway.

I forgot about that. Also, LED is unusable when charging. But that may be device specific.

Go grab the free NoLED app from the Market, which I prefer over a single (often useless) LED light. NoLED tells me which event I have missed, whether an SMS, GMail, Missed Call...

I've folks that love NoLED! The pull down notifications tray is perfect for me though!

NoLED is a huge battery drain FYI. If you don't dismiss the notification fairly soon after it arrives, your battery will start dropping like a rock from my experience with it.

That depends on the screen- for the Charge it shouldn't be a problem. There's another thread a little farther down the page that explains it in greater detail.

I used it on my Fascinate, and my battery would drain quickly when NoLED was active for 15-30+ min, maybe 10-20%/hr. Without NoLED, I loose 1-5%/hr on average.
