No Nov. Security OTA, and No Updated Play Store?

Got the playstore update but still no security patch. All the other Nexus's got security updates. To think I bought the Nexus 6 thinking it would have been first in line for updates but no. I just hope I don't have to sideload and factory reset everytime I want a update.

The Nexus 6P which I should have waited and got instead don't have issues with carrier updates. Carriers don't sell it.

The Nexus devices are the only ones (so far) that have gotten 6.x, so technically, still first in line for updates
If you choose to sideload, you don't need to factory reset really. Personally, I avoid sideloading, and just flash the factory image (skipping userdata) - quick, painless. But not everyone is comfortable doing that.

I suspect the 6P will have the same issues - I think T-Mo recently announced that it was working with Google to make the 6P Band 12 certified. I would not be surprised it they ended up with a separate build (just like the Nexus 6 did). Having said that, The N6 has B12 support and WiFi calling on MRA58K itself (even though it was supposedly not the T-Mo specific build)

Yes. Google changed the name from Marshmallow to Mushroom.

Treat them like mushrooms, keep them in the dark and feed them bullpoo.

Nexus 6 still has the new play store look and feel.

Nexus 6p got the new store when I went to the settings /about and it downloaded the new version, however it shows 6.0.0 but looks like the old one. I didn't reboot after though. If I remember tomorrow I'll look at it again and reboot and look one more time.

I've been on 6.0 for weeks, this morning bam new look.

I'm not an IT guy though I work with our IT department enough at work to make an educated guess. Each Android is pointed to a different section of the Play Store server farm and not every server farm has been updated is my guess and sometime last night the section my phone connects too got updated.

This would also explain why some people had the update and then lost it, their phone got moved to a different section of the server farm for one reason or another.

After a day where my play store went mysteriously back to the old version, it's back on the new design.

I got the updated play store, but no Nov security patch on Verizon. I did the sim pull trick to get 6.0 and about a week later Verizon pushed out their Nov Security / Marshmallow combo update.
Hopefully I'll pick up the December patch / update, don't want to have to do a sim pull every month an update comes out.
