I have a pixel 6 with Android 14. When I get calls while the lock screen is on, there is a button to answer the call but I see no way to reject the call. Please advise.

Also, I’ve long been frustrated that the call screen changes on its own while I’m on a call. For examples, sometimes I toggle between speaker mode and no-speaker mode. When I turn off speaker mode and put the phone to my ear, often times when I lower the phone to look at the screen the screen will have changed and will have no option to switch back to speaker. Is there a way to have one and only one screen while on a call?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Usually, on the lockscreen, you drag the button up to answer, and down to reject. Does that work for you?

Can you show a screenshot of the Phone app when you can't find a way to switch back to speakerphone?

Google Support Help Centre: Answer or reject a phone call and Use phone call options

For future reference pertaining to a phone issue, you can open the Phone app, click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right hand corner, and then select Help and Feedback. You will see a list of common help resources and a search box.

I'll also add sometimes clearing the phone apps cache and force stop fixes Little glitches

There is also the option to immediately tap one of the side volume buttons.

That doesn't instantly reject a call, but it does instantly mute the ringer. You don't hear it anymore, but on the other end, the caller continues to hear the ring until it goes to voicemail, or they get the default carrier "____ is not available, please call again" message.
