No Option to Select 4G - Can't change Preferred Network Type

[AC Question]

Hi

Your help would be appreciated. I'm running Android 6.0 on an Elephone P9000. A few days ago under
settings/mobile networks/preferred network type I selected 3G ( From a choice of 3G and 4G). Now when I go back to try and select 4G the option is no longer there - only 3G. Restarting the phone has no effect.

I can select LTE via the dialer code *#*#4636#*#* but this is only a work around as it needs to be reentered on restart.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Try Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset

Thanks for the quick response. That has apparently solved the problem. Network type is now 4G(Recommended) and it persists after restart. However under settings/mobile networks/preferred network type the only option is 3G. Where originally 3G and 4G were selecteble. I dont think I'll change it again.
