No Oreo Update Yet - On MetroPCS

Since you're on Fi you have an 'in' with Google. Contact their customer support through the Settings application and they should help you, or at least give you a satisfactory answer as to why you're not getting the latest Security Update.

Ha! I contacted them thru chat last night. Went thru all the motions of rebooting phone, switching carrier to Sprint, then T-Mobile, checked for updates, and no update. The tech says he has to kick the situation up to someone else.

Then I got this email from Fi Support: "Thank you for contacting Project Fi Support. This is Erica, and I will do everything in my power to resolve your concern today. I understand you're inquiring about the 8.0 Android update for your Nexus 6P, and I can see how that will pose an inconvenience. At this point, there is not an official date for when any device will get the 8.0 update. However, once the update is ready for your device, you'll get a notification to download and install the update."

So, no satisfactory reply from Project Fi.

Wow. That sucks. Smh. Guess the 6P is officially kicked out of the Google family..

If you really want the latest OS update you can manually flash it. However, if you're having problems with freezing, etc, you might want to solve that issue before introducing a new variable. I'd suggest booting into Safe mode and running that way for awhile - if your problems go away then you have one or more 3rd party applications causing your grief.

The thing is that the freezing and rebooting is so random there's no way of telling if it's an app doing the damage. I can't be on Safe Mode for that long. It disables too many things and I need to be connected.

My Nexus 6P kept showing no updates. Today (11/1/17) I ran into this thread, booted into Safe Mode, and it immediately found the update. Seems kind of stupid but there it is.

My 6P that my girlfriend now uses just got the 8.0 update notification last night, we're on Tmobile.
