No picture for my icon in the text message thread

Hey just wondering if anyone is having the same problem, since upgrading to ice cream sandwich on my droid 4 i noticed in my text message threads I cant put a picture of myself or anything, instead i have to look at a blank default blue shadow guy. I made a contact of my self and i tried long pressing the picture and it just says contact doesn't exist. I looked thru all the message settings and I don't know how I can change it, any advice? I can still see my friends pictures as their icon though.

I think I have the answer. You do not change it in the messaging options but you go to contacts and press the contact you want to change. From there you choose options then edit or something. Then you have the option to change the picture.

Ok, I have the same phone and I was just playing with it when I opened contacts I noticed right at the top, under the red cross "in case of emergency", right above "#BAL" contact, that it says "set up profile". I clicked on that and set up my info with a picture and cell number and once I did that my pic was up on the message threads!!! Good luck!
