Who cares what they call the things? What's the difference between Nexus and Pixel?

I'll tell you the difference: they set a price point for Nexus phones, and they wanted to up that price point. Simple psychology says, change the name and present it as an "all-new" product--even though it's really not, it's just an updated old product--and people will let you get away with pricing it wherever you want, with no relation to anything else, as if it's never existed before.

And people believing that baloney is what gets the $650 phone accepted as an $850 phone.

For those of you who are math challenged, that is a 31% increase in price.
