No problems with my Galaxy Nexus. Anyone else?

My battery/case assy will arrive on Tuesday.
I like how you can charge the case seperate from the phone.
Can't wait to rock it. I love the "Nexus" on the back. :)

Yeah I charge mine separate from my phone but you can charge them together also if needed

Yeah, I used mine today.....didn't have to connect to an external charger since this morning if that gives you any idea how well the battery works for it

Still at 70% after nearly 15 hours on a STOCK battery. If anything my GNex is getting better battery life as it goes. No kidding that is way better than my original EVO 4G did.

The most suprising thing about the galaxy nexus is how well the stock battery performs after just a few days (with just 3g enabled). My older Galaxy S1 was lucky to avoid dying after just 12 hours with light usage (4hrs under heavy usage)....the galaxy nexus seems to last closer to 36+hrs with light usage before it must recharge (8hrs+ with heavy usage?).

So, far, the only things that really drain the battery is GPS, attempting to use LTE, or extended activation of the screen. If wifi is enabled, and the phone is on standby, the battery barely drops 1-2% on an hourly basis. The old S1 used to drop 5-10% per hour when on standby.

Otherwise, the noticeable changes from S1 are ICS and the much snappier feel that the dual processor provides. No more lagging when changing apps or starting new ones. Lockup have been minimal.

Overall, the galaxy nexus makes android seem to be a much more mature platform.

On the other hand, the lack of a keyboard can be annoying and the lack of accessories for the device can also be frustrating. Not to mention there being several different models of the nexus all of which are slightly different.

I'm still on the fence with regards to voice quality and the speaker....I've tweaked the volume up and its OK, but I would have expected better from such an expensive phone.
Also, it's unclear to me how well sprint and the nexus are supporting voice calls over wifi....my home tends to have bursty cell signal.

Happy the usual sprint apps aren't included...although I keep getting notified that sprint has voicemail for me even with my using google voice instead...confusing. Still, definitely a keeper.....although I wonder if the galaxy nexus is more of a test phone that the cariers are using to try out ICS and the latest hardware and the more mature production hardware will be the S3/etc.

Great post. Glad you like your Nexus.

My power use has increased so I am needing to get an uprated battery.
I tried the Hyperion battery/case combo and it works and I like it, but the case part does not wrap around to the front so the screen is "exposed" to hard surfaces if dropped.
I am going to get the Seidio 3800 mAh super extended life battery and rear cover along with one of their matching cases to go with it. Their case surrounds the front.
It will work with the NFC so I am set.
Early Father's Day present. :)
The Hyperion assembly makes the phone longer and the Siedio set up will make it thicker which I prefer.
I will keep everyone up to date on how the Seidio items work.

Keep the posts coming on your good experiences with our beloved Galaxy Nexus.
It is still the best phone I ever had.

Once LTE gets turned on here in the ATL, it will be even nicer.

So I also got the Hyperion case/combo and I like the exposed front, so its just what the dr ordered! My personal preference I hate the sides covered. This phone ROCKS!!!

Loving the 3800 Seido after a week. I watch 42 minutes of Netflix on the train in the morning, then probably 3 hours of intermittent use on a workday(email, Facebook, Zynga poker, Pandora) still usually have 30% or so by bedtime...still charge it overnight

Good to hear.
My Seidio battery and case will arrive tomorrow.
Looking forward to not having to check my charge all day long.

I haven't had any problems either. Solid and consistent performance. Battery life seems to be increasing with use. Perhaps I'm just messing with it less. In either case, pure Google is great. The screen is gorgeous and I love the soft menu buttons that get out of the way. - NerdBoyMSM on the Twitter

Picked up a Gnex yesterday, no issues yet... 3g can be a bit spotty, but I think that is Sprint's network in my town and not the phone. 3g could get flaky at times with my Evo Shift....

I am still very much in an internal debate between the Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy SIII. I really want to have a Pure Google Phone though.

Yeah, I struggled with the same decision, but chose to pick up my GNex 2 days ago. Yes, Galaxy SIII has more power, but it also has TouchWiz - ugly and Samsung seems very bad at updating. In the end, if you plan on rooting your phone, probably should consider the Galaxy SIII - if not, Galaxy Nexus.

When I purchased my Nexus S a while back, I was conflicted between the the NS and the EVO 3D. I had a great experience with NS and now a lot of people recognize that the 3D was not that great. Also, because Google updates, I have been using ICS for some time (a few months) before I purchased my new GNex. As of even today, I do not believe that the 3D has ICS - yet. So, I was very happy with my decision. So, when deciding between the GNex, Evo LTE, and SIII, I chose to go with what worked best last time.

I do not believe that this is a problem with the GNex per se, but is anyone running Beautiful Widgets? If so, is geolocation working for you guys? It worked on my Nexus S running ICS, but it does not work with the GNex. Anyone else have this problem?

Just checked...BW geolocation is working great for me. I sometimes have to force a GPS lock with MapMyRun by starting Navigation, but other than that location services are excellent.

Flawless OS and solid hardware as far as I'm concerned. But like I said in a previous post that reverting to Sprint's 3G can be frustrating. Ymmv I guess.

So far I love this phone. I am on my 2nd GNEX though. My 1st one was defective. The battery would get super hot just surfing the web The internal temp made it up to 129.6 F according to the smart battery app.

According to sprint it shorted out 2 batteries. becuase it is such a new phone, and because the tech guy @ the sprint store is a nerd like me who watched the google i/o conference online he gave me a brand new one out of the box instead of a refurb which was GREAT! He got all 5's on his review.

The only bad thing about this phone is the batt life I get, which is somewhere around 7-12 hrs. Thats with med usage I would say. Nothing to crazy. I think it could also be I'm in poor signal areas a lot. My stupid job is in an old warehouse which sucks for cell phone signals, and i'm always around 1-3 bars usually never more than that.

Other than those things I LOVE the GNEX! and can't wait for JB........... HURRY UP SPRINT!

DAMNIT!!!

How snug does that Hyperion case fit? I was wondering because i have Ghost Armor on my phone (don't hate, it does what it needs to :p) but I love the idea of this case, its exactly what I need. I was wondering if the case will fit over the GA cause it'd be PERFECT if it did.
