Hello, I received my xiaomi 12 a short time ago.

1st problem the charger provided is not a 67w but 22.5 (I ordered an official 67w)

Despite this, the phone only charges at 6w maximum.

And in the battery options I don't have the fast charge setting, which probably doesn't help.

Is this a hyperos bug or something else?

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central forums. With fast charging all companies put out their highest rating for what the device can accept failing to mention that charging happens in tiers. What you will see is zero to 50% times or 10% to 50% times which is usually something silly like 0 to 50% in 10 minutes, I'm just using numbers don't quote me on the actual percentage. Then what they don't tell you is that after 50% that number goes down. The next 30% might take 15 or 20 minutes, so now we're at 80% and that last 20% might take 25 to 30 minutes. So it fully charges in under an hour but looking at the times it takes way longer for the last 20 percent than it did for the first 50%. They have to throttle the charge towards the end to avoid damaging the battery. In your screenshot you're at 85% so only 15 percent left before full which is the slowest time because they are trying not to damage the battery. If you want to see high wattage out put/input drain the battery to 10 - 15% and connect it. Then you will see the spike and as you watch it you'll see the wattage drop as it nears full.

I don't think anyone here would advise you to drain your battery that low regularly but we each use our devices differently but just know that you will only see those big numbers when the battery is nearly empty and only to about 50% maybe 60% depending on manufacturer. After that the percentage will steadily drop until it is only trickling in at the end of the cycle.

There are tons of how to charge your device advice pages online that explain this if you're looking for a second opinion or better detail. If you find something that says differently than what I've explained feel free to come back and post your source and tell me I'm wrong.

In the meantime, best wishes. I hope you enjoy your new device.

Thanks, but No it's same things when I have 5% of battery, it's always slow.
I don't have the option in setting for quick charge, I have search on the net and normally this option is here (on my screen)

I'm not sure about Xiaomi but with Samsung at least, it happens automatically when connected to a properly rated charger. So if your device will accept a 65 watt charger you may only see those speed when connected to that charger. Samsung does have an option to use fast charge or not in battery and device care which are options in settings. Have you tried searching fast charge from the search bar in your settings menu? I don't know if other manufacturers offer users this option but if it's in settings you should be able to search it from that search bar. Let us know if you find it.

As I recall, and maybe @VidJunky can confirm or deny, there are three potential bottlenecks to your maximum charging. The plug, the cord, and the phone itself. Since it sounds like you bought the correct charger for your phone, my guess is are you using a cheap power cord in between?

I am using the same logic as framerates for gaming. There are roughly the same bottlenecks, the hardware of the PC, the capability of the display, and the cord connecting them.

For the moment I use the cable and charger sell with the phone, but I think the seller have replaced them, it's not a 67w but 22.5w
Answer tomorrow when I have the new and original

Welcome to AC!
That device is almost 3 years old , possibly battery degrading , try closing all background apps see if charging speed picks up and also try safe mode.

You're correct and I missed that aspect which is ironic since this was the issue that happened with the, S23 maybe...? Anyway it was one of the last few S series phones from Samsung where they offered a 45w charging brick and a ton of people were complaining that they weren't seeing the charging they were expecting with the recommended brick only to find out that they also had to upgrade their cables too. Honestly IDC about fast charging that much. I'm never far from a charger on the off chance I need one and I rarely drain the battery to the point that I can't leave the house or be out for a few hours without worrying. Or maybe I just take it for granted because I don't have to think about it.

Ok just wanted make sure no 3rd party apps or application causing this .
Can you return the device back?
So I have try to go in safe mode but it's in Chinese, And where there are normally 4 choices, I only have 2, so I'm not sure, and I don't want to do a reset.

I can no return I have been refund by PayPal 😁

And with new official charger I have 12w

If I want reset, the best is by settings or wipe data in stock recovery ?

I have make a antutu and I have 1105600 so it's good, the only problem who stay it's the charge who is slow
