No service after installing new ROM

i just a optimus from friend. he took all the OTA updates. i ran the automated rooting method and when i install ROm, i went with team hydro. i get no service, i notice its not keeping my MID, phone number or ESN settings, any reason why its doing this. on my first optimus i put a new rom on it with no problems.

He NEEDS to have the zvh radio in order to have service. try a zvd rom.(just a hunch)
