No signal at all and a dropped call all at the same time

U was at home when it happened, which made it more odd. Do you think it's a problem w/ the phone or the service?

I've had the same problem and it started happening since the Iphone was released. My 3g is the worst. I'll be in a usual perfect location and my 3g will just disappear. With PRL updates ect..nothing works. I'm hoping that the network will catch up.

Also, with voice, it'll show no bars but when I go to call it'll boost signal to 4 or 5 bars. I"ve had the phone for almost a month now and have lost 2 or 3 calls...no where near as bad as my blackberry.

I didn't even think about the iphone people.

When I turned the phone off and turned it back on, everything came back normal

That's the LOS problem a lot of people are having and rebooting the phone is really the only fix for now.

Go into setting select (About Phone) take a look at Kernel version post up numbers.

Toggling airplane mode should fix signal problems.

Is a software fix for this still in the works? Saw the initial complaints early in the month...

There is no fix, but at the same time, it doesn't happen to everyone. I have had it happen exactly twice, but both times it was in the exact same spot in my NYC office. So I think there's a carrier element here.
