No sim card signal on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

today i brought a New galaxy Note 2, and im not happy with the phone.. even im in open area.. phone signal is too weak & sometimes displays as "no sim avail".. and it works fine in my iphone 4. some one pls help

Sim card reader might be faulty if it keeps reporting sim card not available as you say same sim card on another device is working fine.

Did you buy it new from a store or a local person? I'd try getting it exchanged if bought at a store.

Try updating your profile and PRL under Settings>Update phone.

It very well could be the sim card and not the phone. I had a new HTC One X+ directly from AT&T and after a few days I get a No Sim message. I called them and they told me to go into the store. They swapped it out and didn't have the problem again.

I had this problem for a week and got rid of this problem by un-installing the following
1. Facebook
2. Whats App Messenger
3. AVG antivirus

After un-installing each one of them, shutdown the phone, restart the phone after 30 Sec and check whether your NO SIM problem disappears. If the problem persists, continue to un-install the Apps and repeat this procedure until the problem is solved.

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried a different SIM card?
