No sound on incoming text messages...

Seems like I had this issue on another Note but I don't remember the fix. I have no incoming alert notifications on text messages. I've gone through the menus and verified everything is turned on, reset the app, switched the sounds to make sure the file wasn't corrupt but nothing has worked.

Not sure if it something to do with the Smart switch or what... Any help would be appreciated!

What message app are you using.

I have multiple bluetooth devices connected but it doesn't seem to matter if bluetooth is on or off.

I had the same issue as you I changed to Google messages and problem went away plus it has RCS

That what I ended up doing.. Would have liked to know whats causing it though..

I had the same problem. went into notification settings. it was on silent.
