No sound when playing mp4 videos. Anyone else?

So I finally got my HTC One today, switched over from the GS3. Liking the phone so far, but I have moved some media over from my PC and I am not getting sound through the stock (google?) movie player on the phone. The format is an mp4, so I figured this was common enough to support. Tried a couple 3rd party ones, MX player did the same thing whereas HD Video Player produced sound, but video was lagging really bad. Any advice?

I'm having the same problem.

My phone automatically made an album for me but when I decided to split it into two separate ones the videos no longer played back any sound. NOT even on my computer. WTF HTC?
