No Space Available?

Hey everyone, my wife got an S5 a few months ago and last night tried to download an icon pack but it said she had no space available. She doesn't have that much stuff downloaded, so it seems really strange to me she would be out of space. Is there something in particular I should be looking for? Is there any of the default things that came on the phone that can be deleted? Looking for some tips in the right direction. Thanks.

Go into Settings/Storage....you should see a colored bar that breaks down what's taking up your storage space...apps, pics, music, etc. From there you should have a good idea of what needs to be cut down. Additionally, if you tap on the Apps section it will take you into the App Manager where you can sort your apps by size and see if there are any of the larger ones you can delete or clear data from.

Of the 16gb of internal storage, only about 11.5gb are available to you out of the box, as the operating system eats up 4.5gb, and it doesn't take as long as you'd think to eat up the rest of the available storage space.

Does your wife have a micro sd card for additional storage? If not, I recommend she gets one and uses that to store photos, video, and music. A lot of apps can be set up to store data on sd cards as well, which would also help save on internal memory.

It's a problem I had, and the solution is easy. Most of the applications, specially
Social networking apps take up so much space you couldn't think of. Download "CCleaner" from Play store. Easy to use, and working flawlessly.
