No USB Notification

When I plug my optimus V into the computer, there is no notification that the usb is connected. This used to show up, however. I have tried a new micro sd card, formatting the card, and factory resetting the phone. Nothing works.

Are you rooted or completely stock?
If you are completely stock, have you tried a different cable?

I am rooted, and have not tried a different cable.

I just tried a different cable, but there is still no usb notification. The phone only charges. Also, I am on the stock ROM (but rooted).

Try a different usb port on your computer.

Otherwise, odds are there is something wrong in the phone itself. My bet is the usb port has been damaged.

I have the same problem. I have quick settings app installed. Dont know if that make a diff. Im a newbie lol When I plug it in USB there is the ICON on the phone top left. Bring that menu down, tap on USB connected, then turn on USB storage. Then the PC can see the phone.
Stock phone. When done to tap off usb storage to safely remove the phone from computer. The go to start, computer (it does not show up in devices with removable storage at least in Vista it does not) Click on a drive till you find the one that the phone is on and you have access to all the files. So in my case its on "K" drive. I just click ok "K" and bingo it pops everything right up.

I think I fixed it by pulling out the battery... I hope this helps
