Wife and I both have Verizon S9s. I have the video call option under the stock phone app when calling most other people. My wife doesn't have the button at all. Tried rebooting and from the bit of reading I've done it may be an issue where the phone needs to be returned and/or warrantied? Does that sound right?

Just to be certain -- both of these were bought directly from Verizon, and not from elsewhere and then brought to Verizon?

My wife's was bought through Samsung direct as a Verizon (Not unlocked) branded phone. I bought mine direct from Verizon....

Have you asked Verizon about this? I wonder if there's some kind of provisioning they have to do on their end.

I worked at Verizon until 2016, it may have changed since, but HD Voice/Video calling was a feature that could be enabled/disabled.

Try settings/connections/advanced calling. You can toggle the video calling there, though it might need to be enable through the VZW website first. It's been years since I enabled mine.

I will try the Verizon site and see if it's something that needs to be enabled. Wife upgraded from an S7 to an S9. Never had to ask, call or enable anything on the S7 for the feature to work. Weird that my phone has no problem.

Thanks for the advice all. I'll give it a whirl.
