noisy notification volume

I have set the Notification volume to zero on my Moto g50 Android 12 phone. but from time to time, text and Facebook I believe, it screams out at maximum volume.
How can i stop this?

Do you ever want those notifications to be audible? If not, then go to the Settings>Apps menu, select those apps, then Notifications, and turn them off (or change the sound to None).
