So curious what the Pixel loving devoted camera toting enthusiast's think of the new Nokia 9 press releases and early coverings from MWC? I'm extremely curious to see some more real world reviews and that cost isn't bad at all. With the $699 price point it makes sense to use the older processor to help keep the cost down.

It’s not about the cameras, it’s about the AI engine that makes those pictures great - in that sense, nobody has beaten Pixel yet. Let’s wait and see if Nokia can!

I assume you're including the secondary dedicated chip when you say AI engine.

I don’t have enough knowledge about that chip but the algorithmic computations Google does over the photos is what I am referring to. If that’s coming from that dedicated chip, sure.

I'm really curious to see how the Nokia 9 does in really low light situations. Looking forward to more in depth reviews of it in the future. The light gathering power of the 5 lens set up could really challenge the Pixel with low light photography in my opinion.

The dedicated chip allows for faster computations so the two are not mutually exclusive.

By camera I’m using it in the general overall sense as in final product. I’m hearing lag in processing times so I’m not sold it will be anything other than a great landscape/stills camera.

If it's as limited production as they make it sound, by the time you get in-depth reviews the phone may no longer be available. I'm considering just jumping in and taking a chance.
