Anyone Got for the marth update for TA-1004 yet ?

Wrong forum, the TA-1004 is the Nokia 8 not the Nokia 6 but to answer your question I have a TA-1012 which is also a Nokia 8 and I don't have the March update yet.

Got 8.1 last night, new features, so far so good.

Still haven't got April Security Update for TA-1033 in the UK let alone the 8.1 update. Yet again we are the bottom of the update list.

Still no security update or 8.1 for the TA-1033 in the UK. :'(

I think that they are ignoring us.

Hopefully it will come before the end of the month as I believe that they have shipped it to other markets..

I just got the April update here in the US on T-Mobile.

It may have arrived sooner, but I have not been on wifi for a while.

Which Nokia 6 are you using 6 (2017) or 6 (2018)?

Still nothing for the TA1033 in the UK.:'(

It might have something to do with carriers, unlocked BlackBerry devices in the UK have the same problem with monthly updates.

It sucks for customers though, it would be great if OEM's were open about this if it delays updates every month.

I'm with Vodafone UK but the phone is a unlocked phone.

One would hope that Vodafone is not holding things up.

Nokia should have the same agreement as Microsoft have with their Windows phones for updates and patches - Windows 10 Mobile updates are never held up because of carriers.... so why does Nokia have this issue....

It might be HMD Nokia using the "carrier card" as an excuse.

Lets hope they sort it soon.

Well it's now 29/4/2018 and HMD Nokia have not shipped any April security patches for the original NOkia 6 (TA-1033). They shipped most of the April updates to the following -

This information comes from the official HMD Nokia site.

This looks very much like they are breaking their promise about shipping security patches to their phones for at least the two years of warranty.

I am not impressed now - there are other manufacturers that are shipping updates now.

The excuse that I was given that it depended whether they were available by region and mobile operator. This is rubbish as most of the Nokia 6's that were shipped originally were not locked to an operator! Also if Microsoft with their Windows 10 Mobile monthly updates can do it on a regular (second Tuesday in the month) basis why can't Nokia HMD......

That is odd, I have the original Nokia 6 and i have the April patch with 8.1, I have the North American variant of the 6 on T-Mobile US if that makes any difference.

You will notice that they have updated a few Nokia 6 versions that were not in my previous post which were actually released before my previous post as well. Not very organised. Still nothing for the UK TA-1033.

I wonder why that is.
