Reading a column on the verge today, one of the guys said he would love to see the Nokia 920 hardware with a stock jelly bean OS on it. For one that it might be ready to be shipped instead of a 2 - 3 month window.

So i ask you guys how you would feel about that?

I personally would like that. I like what i see with the 920 hardware. I know it might be to thick for someone. But just would like to hear every1's thoughts

A Nokia Android device would be amazing. I'd be sorely tempted!

I used to have a N95 and it did virtually everything imaginable. However, with Mr Elop at the helm I think the company are wedded to Microsoft and Windows Phone. If the newest flagship performs poorly, there may be a regime change and a shift in platform policy. Android is about their only option since they spiked Symbian and cut MeeGo loose.

It would be great but it's not going to happen. Elop has only till about February to show that his bet on Windows Phones will pay off for Nokia. If he released an Android version, the Windows Phone would flop and he's bet too much (not to mention his deal with Microsoft might preclude this anyway) on it. If it fails, he's out as CEO.

That plus its doubtful Google would help Nokia after they climbed all the way in bed with Steve Ballmer.

A more likely scenario would be Microsoft outright purchasing Nokia to save them from going under.
