Nonresponsive screen...

Recently, when I receive a text and open up the keyboard to type a response, the touch screen freezes. It doesn't respond at all until I turn the screen on and off a few times and then slide unlock it. It's getting really frustrating because instead of being able to reply to a text in a few seconds, it can take up to 5 minutes. It's just really inconvenient. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Should I call Verizon? My phone is still under warranty... I'm just afraid of getting a phone with even worse issues.

Just give them a call. If anything, you could maybe get a droid 2 if you're lucky.

I'm hoping maybe that I will get lucky as well. I just sent my Droid 1 back because of some screen issues. I'm waiting for it to come today....hopefully. And hopefully it is a Droid 2.

But if they send me a Droid 1 I just want it to work properly.

What is the process of swapping phones? I do mail mine back to them? Will I have to be without a phone for a few days? How does the new one get activated?

Sorry for a million questions I am just not sure how all this works.

You keep your phone until the new one (certified like new) comes. You can either call them from a landline to activate or dial *228 and press send and activate it that way.

Then you send the old phone in the same box that FedEx used to bring you the new phone and place the return sticker that they provide you on the box and drop it off at your local FedEx office.

Hope that helps.
