I just recently rooted using revolutionary. Worked pretty well and was easier than I thought it would be as it was the first time I have rooted a device. So the first thing I wanted to do is to rid myself of some bloat. Well, I managed to follow Cory's directions and move them with root explorer from the "apps" area over to the a tb bloat folder that I created where and how he suggested only to find that the apps (blockbuster, bitbop, etc.) were still in my app drawer. Did I miss something?

Reboot the phone....

if they're still there after that, then download Titanium Backup. Sometimes Root Explorer can't remove certain apps. In Titanium... go to the backup/restore tab... select an app and delete it... or freeze it first if you're not sure if it will have any negative affect on the phone.

You really don't need to save the bloat files with the Thunderbolt. Flashing any of the RUU's (updates... MR1, MR2, GB) will restore everything back to the phone.... which you will have to do anyways if you ever unroot the phone and return it back to stock.

Wow, that was... easy. Something tells me I should have looked a little harder for that one. Thanks very much. I really only rooted to do some tethering, and get some extra battery life but one of these days I think I'm going to work up the nerve to flash a Rom. Have fun with your nexus.
