I was going to install the simply stunning 4.0 overtop of my 2.2. i went into rom manager and hit flash alternate recovery (sprecovery) and then went to reboot into alternate recovery and now I am stuck at the M logo and it will not do anything. Is there anyone that can help?

Do you have Clockwork Mod installed? Do a battery pull and make sure you are disconnected from any power source. Then when you power it back up, slide it open and hold down the "x" key until you see the light. You should then boot into the recovery menu. From there you can go to nandroid restore and reload your 2.2 provided you had a backup..

Hope this helps...

Ok I got it booted into sprecovery but I cant seem to find simply stunning im trying to update to. I extracted it and put it into the nandroid folder and it seems like I should be using clockwork to install it....am I doing something wrong or not getting something?

If you're using Clockwork, you don't have to extract it. You just select the zip and let it do it's thing.

Just select install zip and you'll have to search for it. I normally put mine on the root of the sdcard just so it's not hard to find. But the backups should be in the nandroid location. If you have the zip for BB still loaded just flash a clean copy of it without wiping and then go back and try to install the simply stunning theme zip. The main thing is not to panic. If it comes into recovery, everything is fine. For the record, I've had a couple of instances where mine would hang at the M and I'd notice the back was a little hot. I took the battery out and let it cool down, and when I put the battery back in, it booted right up. Make sure your OC is running too high or hot..
