#NOOB# question? Ota's?

Some body is gonna blast me but.... when Sprint delivers an update...let's say "gingerbread", how can I get a hold of it with out breaking root and not a version baked in to a custom Rom? Will some "make" a rooted version?

Yes!! And they will usually deodex the rom and insert some other helpful tools. Check xda for it

Usually pretty fast. I think the last rooted version was out a few days before the official OTA release somehow.

Oh yea that's right, I flashed that and right after I got the actual ota message lol...that was quite a few roms ago

It won't take that long as stayed above there are usually roms floating around before the official release.We(dev) try to get a rooted version out asap for those that can't wait and have to have everything right away.
