Noob start

ok, I got it.
I just thought that this forum has a lot of watchers, but not much helpers.
I spent half of my life on dofferent forums and that is why I am usually preapared to get answer in couple minutes not hours.

I didn't root my phones. I didn't have time. Although my phone is even worse. The echo came back and it's "bigger" than before.
Sprint doesn't want to help me. Any idea how to fix it, because I can'tr communicate with many persons(not everyone hears echo)
 
I've had that echo in the past. Not sure what causes it but I suspect it has to do with a poor connection when the call connects.

Now, enough talk start rooting :)
 
Sprint want me to go to different Repair Center to test these phones some more. Rooting has to wait...
 
How often does the echo happen? You said 'these phones', do you have more than one phone with the same problem?
 
, I and my wife bought Heros.
I don't use speaker phone thing.
Echo happens, I think, about 8in10 calls. But I don't ask people about it if I don't know them well. The best thing is that When I call my wife, she also haven't hear echo. SO there is no echo in Sprint Network for sure but while talking almost everybody else... there is.
Sometimes it's small and we can talk but c'mon... I don't wanna paly that game anymore.
Oh, I forgot. Yesterday, for the first time, I heard echo of my voice. I heard it as... some creature was repeating myself but using voice ... I mean sound of old tv that play that "shhhh" thing.
Anyway, my phone and service sucks.
Few minutes ago, I received email from Sprint Executive ... something. Someone "on big chair" (I hope You know what I mean and You will show me how You call it) want me to call them to explain this strange situation.
But what can I tell him more...?
I have enough of it all.
 
@Mad-couple questions if you don't mind.
When did you get your phone?
Have you been to a repair center and showed them the problem?
 
We bought Heros at the end of August. I received replacement phone probably in September. From 2 weeks I'm trying to go to Sprint Repair Center(SRC) but I have so many things to do, I can hardly find time even to write a post about it.
I probably wrote that before in this topic, but YES, I was 3 times or more in 2 different SRCs. They coul;dn't find any problem with it.
I just was fired so I have time now for such BS as going top SRC.
 
I finally found time to call that SUper Executive Office of Sprint.
He(agent) just listened what I wanted tosay, wrote it somewhere and said that Executive Service Desk will help me and call me very fast to help me out. 24hrs past and nobody called. But he said that he hears that echo, so it's good, finally someone believe me.
I drove to SRC las week because they made me do it()again).
Guess what happened?
I stand in front of their room. Some girl asked me how can she help me:

Me: My phone has many problems and I wnat You to fix it.
Shee: ok, what is wrong?
me: My main problem is echo but there are much more.
She: ok, echo? hmmm (she made her face as she had never heard os something like this)

She took my phone, called her friend few steps in front of us.
She: Michele do You hear some echo?
Michele: No I don't hear any. It's good.
She: No echo, sorry(laugh)
Me: Are You serious?, fix my phone!
She: Do You have warranty?
Me: No, I don't.
She: SO You have to pay $35 so we could look what si wrong.
Me: Listen! I won't pay a thing. Fix my phone rtight now. It doesn't work from the first day.
She: I'm sorry, that is new policy that just came out last week.
Me: Seriously? (I was close to explode)
She:....(minute of silence) Ok, let me talk to manager...
5min of secret talking with 3 agents.
She: ok, we'll check it for You.
I gave my phone to her, she gave it to some agent from the desk.
Me: So how long does it take? 45min as before in last SRC?
Agent: No, 20min max, I will just clean it. Ithink the echo is because of dust.
Me: Seriously? Dust? This phone wwas cleaned 2 or 3 times from the first day and I got this phone for almost 3 months. Last time was week ago or so. There is no dust for sure.
..... after 45min
Agent: ok, I checked it and everything is cleared. We didn't hear any echo and no other problems.
Me: ok
I went to my car, called my friend. He heard echo. Game over.


I have no idea when I will finally have working phone and could just root it....
Now, I ąm waiting for that very fast contact from Executive Service.


I'm so afraid that my first sentece would be "seriously?" again....
 
So toiday I called Customer Service. After many transfers finally some manager of all told me that there is no Executive Office he know about or number he could tell me. I was made to go to repair Center to be checked again. I waited there 32min for manager, then an hour for check-up. Nothing was found. They told me to call Network Department but the number they have has changed so they can't give me current one.

SERIOUSLY?
 
I called Network Department. They created a ticket and told me to get new replacement phones tomorrow.
 
Welll, probably no one wants to know the end of this story but anyway I want to write it down.
I changed my job and couldn't go to Sprint store for replacement so after 2 months, yesterday I went there and told them that CS opened ticket for 2 new replacements.
The guy at the store jut laughed...
Like before he said that neither one store will give me any replacement.
He asked for $35 just for lookup because I got no insurance. Then I showed him that since 2 days my touch screen doesn't work. So I would have to pay that $35 +for new touchscreen +for call issues fix.
I couldn't accept it.
I just threw this phone on the floor.
The end.
 
If you just got the phone in August, why didn't you go for a warranty replacement, if Sprint wasn't helping you?
 
:( Sorry to hear aout your problems with the Hero. For future reference, the phone can be sent in to the manufacturer for a warranty fix if it's still covered. HTC is pretty good about that from what I hear.

What did you replace it with?
 
Like I said before, Hero sucks. Replacement phones won't help. I mean, I think it won't help because I used 3 Heros and all had same problems.
This last dead touchscreen was just too much.
