So, I realize that this is a long shot, and most likely not workable in any way, but... Has anyone ever tried to transplant the 3G radio from a nook 3G into a Nook Color?
My understanding is that the radio itself has some sort of hardware identification number that is used by the service provider for controlling data access. If that's the case would it be possilbe to transplant an "unlocked" radio from a Nook 3G into a Nook Color, (just as one would with a bluetooth transceiver to add bluetooth capability to a laptop)? Android already has the capibility to utilize a 3G radio, if it where available, it's the fact that CM7 has this utility that turned me on to this adea. Thanks for any insight on why this would, or more likely, would not work.
