nook color noobie

Hello,
I bought a refurbished nook color for Xmas and would like to install a stable version of cm7 to an sd card (I ordered a sandisk class 4 8 gb micro sd card from amazon), I,m pretty new to this kind of thing, which is why I don't want to root, any suggestions for which os I should use?
