Normal for "Stopwatch" to use up most of S2's battery?

If I go for a 40 minute run with stopwatch running, it uses up 60% of my S2's battery (this is after turning off all the auto wake-up options, but the stopwatch app still keeps the screen on constantly while it's running).
Is this normal?
