Hi
I recently installed Norton mobile security on my Galaxy S5. Both my device and SD card are encrypted. When I tested the "lock my phone" anti-theft feature of Norton Mobile Security, it changed my unlock method to swipe. I didn't think anything of it and changed the method back to "password". I then tested it again and it changed the password to a 4-digit code given to me by the app. I changed the password back to my original password I had before Norton changed the unlock method to swipe.
So I just tried to access the files on my SD card, and it shows them as all corrupted. The filenames are visible, but I can't access any photos in the gallery, etc. I suspect that something may have happened to the encryption key when Norton changed the unlock method? I tried decrypting the SD card but that didn't work. I tried restarting the phone.
I have months of memories on that card in the form of photos, it's just now sinking in that I might have lost them. I haven't backed them up anywhere. Is there any way to access these files?
Thanks in advance
