Not able to send emails

Can you not send emails over wifi? I always try and get a notification unable to send email

I would always get that message when trying to send messages from my Yahoo account using the HTC mail client, but my Hotmail accounts could send & receive just find. I can also send & receive my GMail just fine on WiFi too. I ended up downloading the Yahoo Mail app from the Market and use that now because you can send via WiFi in there.
