Not calculating steps

Basically just as the title says I just won a free Moto 360 through work and for some reason it won't calculate my steps. It worked fine for a bit (granted this is only my first day really using it) but for some reason it stopped at 923 and no matter how many steps I take it refuses to show anything past that. Anyone have any idea as to why and how to fix it? It's still connected to my phone...
