All I wanted to do was download the Sideload Wonder Machine. I did not want to have to sign up for this forum just for that and I cannot find a single link to the application anywhere that will just let me download it - everything I have found so far on Google just links to the forum thread with the link that requires me sign up. Ok, I singed up and I'm not very happy about it. I would gladly have paid for the app rather than have to join this forum. Not that I have anything against it, anyone associated with it or any of the users, I just wanted an app, not yet another forum that I have no interest in. Seriously, how professional can this place be when the app that they created isn't even available on their Apps page? That in itself already makes me hate this place but that's probably just because I'm already pissed that I have to sign up just get the app.

Alpha, i apologize you feel this way. I am also sorry you could not find what you were looking for right away. If you go to the Android Applications area it is the 2nd item which leads you to the forum http://forum.androidcentral.com/and...40770-ac-sideload-wonder-machine-windows.html you won't find it anywhere else because it is an Android Central developed app.

I hope this works well for you and i hope you have a Happy New Year. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a great night. please let us know if you need any assistance.

They're so many benefits to being a member on this site. Do yourself a favor and take full advantage. :)

Wow. I'm kind shocked to see this thread. When I started searching for the Sideloader, I ran across this forum/site and couldn't be happier. The news, reviews, info and store of the main site are fantastic. And though I've only just scratched the surface on the forums, I must say that I am quite happy to have joined the forum.

Hi, AlphaScorpious.
Chances are you might not be reading this. However, I would say - if you dont want to be a member here - you can ask the administrator to remove your account.

Sorry to see you go.

Happy Holidays.

Just some sour grapes - I intensly dislike having "free" programs not actually be free. I'll get over it.

Wow... someone isn't the social type are they?

How is this not free? Just because you have to join a site? How do you "hate" this place when all you did was sign up to get a program? Chill out, it's a forum, not a life sentence or a paid subscription.

He was just venting im sure, he returned to repost even after getting what he needed so i don't think he is totally against the community.

I would love for you to elaborate on how you think its not free. It takes a few minutes to register and nobody has said that registering will force you to participate in the forum.

I have "free" alternatives that will do the job for you. One alternative would be to learn how to use ADB. If you learn how to use ADB then you do not have to worry about being a part of our community. You also could root your phone and flash a custom rom. Switch carriers so that you don't have a device that needs the side loading application. You have options so please don't post in a forum complaining about things you HAVE to do because you have other options.

By you creating a thread like this is going completely against your argument about not wanting to be a part of another forum.

It's pretty simple - requiring someone to register doesn't make the software free because there are strings attached. And don't tell me about alternatives - if I wasn't already considering joining the forum, I could have simply used sites specializing in anonomizing emails and IPs. I'm no stranger to programming and have my computer set up to develop apps for Android. I have also written software in C++, Visual Basic and Visual Basic.NET. I have had software available for free on my website which entailed nothing more than clicking the link and downloading it. There isn't a single valid reason for Android Central not having the same option without requiring someone register. If you're attaching strings to downloading the software, you shouldn't be calling it free.

I suppose another option would be for me to put the file on my website and make the link searchable so anyone like me who'd rather not be forced to join the forum to acquire it could do so. I could also make it available on any number of file sharing servers.

I don't plan on doing either one. I'm just very annoyed at having to register just get the software.

Okay fine. I'll do us both a favor.

All I wanted to do was download the Sideload Wonder Machine.

BTW: It's called the Android Central Sideload Wonder Machine.
