not impressed with maxx battery life - normal for me?

Had my best day(s) yet. 33 hours, 3 hours screen on time, still 20% left. Was in a very strong signal area the whole time.

Despite a reboot that lost me about 8% of battery life (that I had to do to use an app with root), I ended up with:

7% left
14 hr 52 min on battery
5 hr 32 min screen time on

All but about 2 hours on wifi at my house. I'd say on a normal day, I could get 6 hours of screen time if I wanted to.

(BTW, in case you were wondering, I've had the whole week off including today - that's the reason for all of the screen on time.)

I usually get 16-20 hours until the battery is in the red with 8.5+ hours of screen on time. I think this is phenomenal. Again, the 32 hours they advertise is with moderate use. I've gotten more than that when I average between 2-4 hours of screen on time. I've been using the phone much more since I first got it because I can. I don't know of any phone that can compete with that kind of longevity outside of one that a bulky extended battery.

Wow, in a given 16-20 hour period you tend to be using your phone for 8.5 hours? That's a lot of use, haha.

Yeah, some days, I'm on my phone nonstop. Mostly using proprietary medical records and lab reporting applications from the hospital. I interact with my phone more than my patients sometimes. Worst part of my job. Thank goodness this only happens once or twice a week. usually my screen-on time averages ~2 hours the other days.

Sounds as if it's a good thing you picked the phone with the big battery.

It was a nightmare with my previous phone, thunderbolt. I had the extended battery which made it bearable. But then it felt like a weight in my hand and pocket. I had been eyeing the MAXX and it was a no brainer when the HD version came out. Now with the S4 supposedly churning out great battery life too, i hope this trend continues.
