Not receiving picture messages

Just switched from iPhone to Galaxy s7 active, I'm having trouble with group messaging and receiving pictures from iphone. The imessages are turned off on my old Iphone, what's the problem? ATT is my carrier.

First, make sure your mobile data is turned on. MMS (which is how pictures and group texts are sent) require mobile data to be on, not wi-fi or voice signal. With some phones, keeping wi-fi on can interfere with MMS over mobile data, so try turning wi-fi off.

As for disabling iMessage, you might have to call Apple Support and make sure your number has been removed from the iMessage servers.
