Not receiving whatsapp notifications while the battery saver is on?

In my phone samsung galaxy j6+ when the battery saver is on i am not receiving whatsapp notifications... recently i have updated my mobile software nd then i reset my phone that is why i am facing this notification issue .. befor updating mobile software and resting my phone i was recieving WhatsApp notifications while the battery saver was on .. please help me to sort out this issue.

Turn off battery optimization for Whatsapp. The phone is putting the app to sleep to save battery so it's not processing anything. This will be either in your battery/power settings of the device or in the app settings.
