(not solve)please help! about a ram problem my nexus 10

By chance are you running a custom rom, or maybe multiple users on one tablet. I just checked mine and i have over 870MB free.

What about widgest do you have your N10 loaded up with tablets on all the screens. I am just tring to find something that would use up that much ram. It is good to use allot of ram, becuase Android manages it well. You want to keep as much as you need there and cache what isn't needed all the time.

It seems to me you have to have some program running that is persistant and just chewing up your memory.

For the last few years the way RAM is used has changed from a standby mode with free RAM to mode where the system seeks to actually use the majority of the RAM to make the overall system faster. This is a good change as it is managing a resource instead of simply using it. I believe this transition started with windows vista and I have little doubt that IOS and Android both manage your RAM instead of simply using it.

Why is it that you can only open one app? What's occurring there? Are you turning things off due to that RAM statistic? is the OS turning things off to manage memory? Are things crashing while open or stuttering due to a lack of memory?

I went through the same trials after I got vista for the first time. I thought it was a memory leak.

Got the same problem after upgrade to 4.2.2. But in my case it lasts longer - about 3 or 4 days. After that the ram runs low,the tablet slows down and apps start force closing. Even the keyboard! Only restart helps. I don't play any heavy games and my Nexus is running the stock rom and is not even rooted. Very annoying.

Here's a screenshot after the latest reboot:

Having the same issue, I mean wtf, we were supposed to have a good tablet!
Only 100mb free and I have to reboot so it goes back to 700mb.

Does your tablet get extremely hot? My old Nexus 10 did and I got a replacement. Google said it was a hardware issue.
