So I recieved the TB yesterday and used it, I love it, it is such an upgrade to my pre2. Well I recieved the Rezound today, love the look, but noticed that the screen on the TB is actually better (IMO). I like the feel of the TB and it looks "more expensive." I had a horrible time getting the Rezound activated, then the emails wont sync up, I had to manually add them. And is it just me or is the screen actually narrower? The reception on the Rezound is better and I like it with the extended battery on it. Im not really sure what I should do, keep it for a few more days, send it back, or sell it to keep the TB. I really like sense 3.5 with the folders, and like the layout better than on the TB though. my questions are:

Im totally new to droid, and dont know anything about roms, but is there a rom like sense 3.5?

I signed a 2 year agreement for the rezound, so if I keep the TB it'll be for 2 or more years, can it last that long?

ICS will prob be the last update, but does it even need it since there are all kinda ROMS for it?

I dont know what to do, I really like the TB, love how the screen looks, I dunno I guess all the hype for the Rezound make me over imagine how nice it was going to be.

Yes, Sense 3.5 is on at least one of the available ROMs.
Yes, the TBolt can last two years.
No, it doesn't need ICS. However, the root community will probably have it anyway. The jury is still out on if there will be an official ICS version.

Why did you get two if you only need one phone?

Infected eternity ROM is a sense 3.5. That is what I am running

I wouldn't sign a new 2 year contract to upgrade from a TB to a Rezound. If I could switch to a Rezound for free, with no contract extension, I would, just for the faster processor and guarantee of an official ICS release. But, really, the TB is so close, I would (and am going to) stay with the TB until something significantly better comes out.

And, yes, the Rezound screen is the same height, but slightly narrower. At least, that's how it looked when I compared the two side by side.

ps. From what I can tell, if you put a Rezound battery in a TB, the TB will run just as long on a charge as the Rezound, too. I put one in my TB and I can now regularly go all day without charging.

I bought the TB from a website, then found the rezound for $50 with 2 year contract. So my option are:

Keep the rezound and give the Tb to my gf
Sale the Rezound and make a profit of about $350 or $400, and keep the TB for 2 years.

Dont be hatin on Knoxville! Im actually not from knoxville, but noone would know where Im from if I put the little town I live in :)

Personally I would go with the rezound, On paper the screens are the same cept I think if memory serves me correct the Rez is longer by a bit.
The more ram and beast of a processor/ gpu make this a winner !
I love my tbolt, but will be giving it to my wife and taking her upgrade and getting the Rezound after chrismas.

You're right, the screen is narrower, but appears a tad bit longer, but I dont think it is. The performance is better on the the rezound for the tech specs, but in real life I cant tell much of a difference. Im not a big user though, need it mainly for txts, emails, and tethering.

Maryville? Your avatar picture looks like it was taken on the Dragon. I've ridden there many, many times. :D

Hands down...the thunderbolt. Just cause it is new doesn't necessarily mean it is better.

I have a Thunderbolt and in no way other than the kickstand is it better than the Rezound.

I think Frank summed up in the second post in this thread everything that the OP needed to know.

As for Sense 3.5, Infected ROM and Bamf Son of a Bliss (SoaB) are 3.5 ROMs and I think there is also a Liquid smooth ROM out recently.

As for Rezound vs Thunderbolt, I don't know what Rezound is like but I am happy with my Thunderbolt and I will not be upgrading to anything else right now, although I AM intrigued by Galaxy Nexus. Maybe, just maybe, I may pick it up if Verizon does not eff it up big time.

Why would you think we would not know where Sevierville is?

I have not tried the ressound, but my suggestion is to keep the thunderbolt if you prefer it from your experience. Just because the thunderbolt is 6 month older design than the rezound is not sufficient reason to pick a device you don't like as well. Especially if you can make money by selling the rezound.
