Not sure wifi calling is working

Just got a Note 10+ this morning and in the Settings app, I turned on Wi-Fi Calling. Later this afternoon, I made a call to someone and the call dropped. Not sure if I was using cellular data or wifi calling. From what I have read, if the signal is not good then the call would go to Wi-Fi calling.

I live in an area where cell service for Verizon isn't that great. Any suggestions on what to do?

Force it into WiFi calling. WiFi calling will only be as good as you internet and router. Verizon phones will hold onto a weak cellular signal forever, or grab a weak cell signal. The think the phone is programmed to prefer cell signal.

To force it into WiFi calling..

Put your phone in airplane mode, then turn only the WiFi on. Use the shortcuts in the drop down top bar. Leave it in airplane mode while you're wanting to use wifi calling.

Are you using a VZ Note or unlocked phones? I don't think VZ allows for wifi calling on non-VZ phones, do they?

Wow. Thank you. I tried it this morning and worked like a champ. So for now on, airplane mode at home and cellular outside.

I am using a VZ phone and the previous poster suggested that I use airplane mode and enable wifi.
